Biography

Christian Harmsen is a property practitioner at Bird & Bird, where he focuses on international patent infringement litigation. Over the past few years he has lead a series of multi-jurisdictional proceedings for clients such as Honeywell, Electrolux, Caterpillar, Dade Behring and Pharmacia. He practiced at the German Patent and Trademark Office in Munich and worked for the American firm Baker & Hostetler in Palo Alto. Harmsen is a member of the German Intellectual Property and Copyright Association and its technical committee on the protection of plants.
